Do not forget the guru;
Pray to him at all times.

Do not let your mind be distracted;
Look into its very essence.

Do not forget death;
Let it spur you on to Dharma.

Do not forget sentient beings;
With compassion dedicate your merit to them and make prayers of aspiration.

His Holiness Dalai Lama

The sign that our perceptions are superimposing a goodness or badness beyond what is actually present is that while desirous or angry we feel that the object is terrifically good or bad but afterwards when we think about the experience, it is laughable that we viewed the object that way; we understand that our perception was not true. These afflicted consciousnesses do not have any valid support.

Buddha Sakyamuni once predicted that at the time when the Buddhadharma is going to perish from the world, the people cloaked in red and yellow robes will vanish too its therefore an extraordinary opportunity and condition for us that we are still able to pay homage to the gurus and listen to the Dharma teachings now.

Think about the happiness and suffering of others every day. The more you think about it, it becomes a habit. At some point, it will become effortless. Then you will be able to have an uncontrived intention to be of benefit to others.

HIS HOLINESS KARMAPA

Whether or not you go in a positive direction depends entirely on you. You have to be your own teacher and try to figure out what it takes to accomplish your goals. You have to be your own judge and try to get yourself to do the right thing and stop yourself from doing the wrong thing. Take responsibility for yourself.

Mahaguru Padmasambhava

Lady Tsogyal asked the master: What are the three signs of progress? The master replied: They are these three:
 ●  The outer sign of progress is when you do not notice having a physical body.
 ●  The inner is when the negative emotions do not arise.
 ●  The innermost is when you are not directed toward any object whatsoever.

HIS HOLINESS The Gyalwang Drukpa

At the end of the day, there is nothing you can take with you. Your possessions, reputation, relationships and your body are all eventually left behind. You only have one stomach to feed. Regardless of how long good friends and relatives live together, they must someday depart. Whatever you build, be it businesses or buildings, they will collapse at some point in the future. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care, but it doesn’t make much sense to become too strongly attached.

If your mind is impure,
Everyone is ordinary.

The path of Secret Mantra is one of both great profit and danger. Therefore, anyone who practises these texts should receive the empowerments, reading transmissions, and instructions from an authentic spiritual teacher, doing so in the correct manner. Once the essential practice has been perfected, it is certain that both the dharmakaya and rupakaya will be attained. For this reason, I request that these points be kept in mind.

HIS HOLINESS DILGO KHYENTSE RINPOCHE

Our situation is not completely hopeless, however. As the Kadampa masters used to say, “The only good thing about wrongdoing is that it can be purified.” Negative actions are compounded phenomena, so they must be impermanent; therefore, as the Buddha said, there can be no fault so serious that
cannot be purified by the four powers.

H.H. Chogtrul Gyangkhang Rinpoche

Life has its ups and downs just like changing seasons, when one encounters difficulties or unfavorabie conditions, should not lose heart and decadent but treat it as different stages of experience, and replacing negative pessimism with positive optimism, thus be able to turn a crisis into an opportunity.

If one want to escape suffering and attain tranquility and happiness, then must grasp every cause and condition of the moment, contemplates and counteracts the habits of the five poisons at any time, and resolve various inner afflictions and sufferings, further to expand the mind to surpass self-attachment, that is the path of attaining liberation.

Some people think that Dharma Practice is only for the after'ife, however, if the causes of suffering have not been eliminated, how one can attain bliss? Some people only pursue sensual pleasure in this life, thus incur a degenerate rebirth due to cause evil karma, one day when death comes then is too late to regret and panic.

Practicing Buddha Dharma should be motivated by bodhicitta, if every motive comes in good faith with every confidence in the Buddha Dharma and the guru, then one sure can receive the blessings from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, which not only can be sheltered from all obstructions in this life, but also be fearless as one near the end of life.

2024 New Year Blessing

As we all are dharma practitioners we have to pray that all the lineage lamas who are with us right now live long, and also any lama to whom we have created dharma connection with and those who have passed away, we have to make this aspirational prayer for their swift rebirth. Of course you are all doing this every time; I'm just reminding you the importance of doing these long-life prayers and swift-rebirth prayers.

Lama Zopa Rinpoche

When we get sick, when somebody treats us badly, when problems arise with our work or family, when our cherished possessions break or are lost — whatever occasion arises that causes us pain — we need to see this is the ripening of the karmic imprint caused by some previous negative action we have done. Whatever difficulty we experience in life comes right back to our own nonvirtuous conduct. If we had not created the karma, we could not have received the result. The antidote, therefore, is to not create nonvirtue. Then we will no longer be a target.

So we need to understand the fault of samsara. When one has a clear understanding of these four thoughts, you could have some kind of feeling that you have to do some practice. Samsara looks so attractive, but it doesn't have any essence, like the rainbow. The rainbow looks so colorful, so nice, and you have so much desire and attachment. You really want to have it, but when you jump up to get it, you cannot get anything. Then you feel very sad, and you get so depressed. Why can't I have some of this beautiful rainbow? You get upset, but nothing happens. All these worldly pleasures are exactly like a rainbow. When you really enter into them, there is nothing there to have. That is why one must have a deeper understanding of cyclic existence. Then you can become more relaxed and have more enjoyment, thinking how attractive everything is, but having no attachment to it, no desire. You can enjoy and at the same time not create any negative karma and be more relaxed.

Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche

When we go beyond accepting and rejecting, everything is unified. As long as we accept and reject, there is still some attachment and clinging. Tibetans sometimes say of a meditator, “Awesome! That yogi is really beyond fixation. He doesn’t accept or reject anything. Now his fixation collapsed. He’s like the sky.” If we think we need to get rid of the thinking and attain wisdom; there are still two thoughts; the thought of abandoning one thing and achieving something else. This is accepting and rejecting. We still nurture this duality — one thing to eliminate, another to be gained. Accepting and rejecting is still subtle thinking. Once we let go of fixation, there is no accepting and rejecting.

LOSAR TASHI DELEK

All the people are responsible for the progress of the Nyingma sect in the future. Therefore, if one has loyalty towards one's own religious tradition, it is vital to study it thoroughly, so that one can compose new books and compile books for the sake of Buddhism in general. Likewise, it is also crucial to receive empowerment, oral transmission and to practice the Dharma. Then you have to give guidance to the people to help them - Though I don't know much, the main objective as such.

Just as compassion is the wish that all sentient beings be free of suffering, loving-kindness is the wish that all may enjoy happiness. As with compassion, when cultivating loving-kindness it is important to start by taking a specific individual as a focus of our meditation, and we then extend the scope of our concern further and further, to eventually encompass and embrace all sentient beings. a neutral person, a person who inspires no strong.

Nyoshül Khenpo Rinpoche

We exhaust ourselves in three ways: We create fabrications like mental concepts. We exert a lot of effort. We create many objects or targets in our minds. These are the three things that really tire us. It is like an insect caught in a spider's web: the more agitated it becomes, the more tangled it gets in the web. This creates real suffering, real torment for the mind.

Gar Quote No. 73

 A hundred scholars and a thousand yogis can say all they want to say about the nature of mind. But all can be summed up by this teaching of Jigme Lingpa. The mind should never be separated from loving kindness and compassion. Loving kindness and compassion should never be separated from emptiness. And mindful awareness should never be separated from emptiness. These are the key teachings.

The very first condition that will allow us to grow spiritually is faith; specifically, faith in the teachings. By faith, we do not mean blind faith. Faith means that through our own careful investigations, we come to the irrefutable conclusion that the teachings are genuine. Without this first condition, it is impossible for us to develop any virtuous qualities or to accomplish any virtuous deeds. We are like a roasted seed, unable to sprout even when placed in soil. So too we cannot develop any virtuous qualities without faith.

The grave consequences of alcohol- The elixir for the wise heart

CONDRADICTION TO THE SECRET VAJRAYANA SAMAYAS

The action tantra of Sena Bhadra Says:

"Meat, garlic, onion etc, should be avoided at all times.

The yogis should feed on three clean white nourishments."

And also the Meaningful Lasso Tantra states: "If one aspires to accomplish the ultimate truths, Avoid alcohol, meat, onions, residue and so forth."

Similarly, there are countless specific instructions prohibiting alcohol and meat in all the three lower tantras. It is also said that, they must maintain the pure conduct observ- ing the confessional state while performing their rituals.

Prohibition of alcohol is stated even in the context of Unexcelled Mantrayana Vajra Peak Tantra:

"As it is the root of all the havoc, Avoid the alcohol completely."

In the same way the tantra of immovable mystic heat says:

"So called alcohol, intoxicating drinks, I will never consume it at any place."

Dechog Domjung states thus:

"Once the lay practitioners are defiled by the alcohol;

They will have sex with the carnal desires,

They will dance and laugh likewise,

They will fight with pleasure and become mad."

In the same way even in Kalachakra, the abandonment of alcohol is considered as one among twenty five initial yogic disciplines. Thus, the intoxicants are prohibited in all the unsurpassable tantra texts where the meanings are definitive and not interpretive.

The third aspect is the diligence of dissatisfaction. It means to have a constant longing to improve whatever we know or do which is positive and beneficial for others.

 The teachings tell us:

Even if you have helped everybody,
Still you should help them once more.
