In the Sutra Completely Dear to Monks:
An extremely well-disciplined person is
Beautiful to look at, Abides by the Vinaya,
Trusts the practice of discipline, Accumulates in a single day
Inexhaustible mountains of merit; And thus will attain enlightenment.
And Arya Nagarjuna said,
"Discipline is the ground of all qualities," said the Buddha. "Just as the earth is the ground that supports animate and inanimate phenomena
