In the meantime, here is Lama Zopa Rinpoche rejoicing and looking pleased with our latest title, Lamrim Year. We love bringing you new Dharma offerings month after month, and it's mainly due to your kindness that we are able to do so. We rejoice in your generosity and remain here at your service.

Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche

Whenever you feel there's something you absolutely must get your hands on, or something you couldn't possibly bear to lose, just try letting it go. Release it instead of holding on. Letting go is wholesome and healing...As soon as we let go of the things we hanker after and set them free, without holding on to anything, we experience freedom and joy that are unmediated and real.

HH 14th Dalai Lama

Our afflictive emotions of desire, hatred, and so forth arise because we superimpose upon phenomena a goodness and badness beyond that which they actually have. For instance, when we get angry or desirous, we have during that time a strong sense of the goodness or badness of that object, but later when these emotions calm down and we look at those same objects, we ourselves will even find our earlier perception laughable. The benefit or assistance of wisdom is that it prevents us from superimposing on objects a goodness or badness beyond what is actually there, whereby we are able to stop desire and hatred.
