Abracadabra

I create as I speak

Tracing its roots back to the third century AD, abracadabra is believed to have originated from the ancient Aramaic language spoken in Mesopotamia where the phrase 'avra kedabra' was used, which translates to 'I create as I speak'.

Enneagram

According to Gurdjieff, the #enneagram is "the fundamental #hieroglyph of a universal language." Gurdjieff's use of the word hieroglyph, of course, points to #Egypt. In this context, it is interesting to consider the nine deities established at Heliopolis in the Early Dynastic Period as part of the cosmogonic or creation myths. These cosmogonic tenets are given in the Pyramid Texts of the Old Kingdom

His Holiness Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche

TRANSFORMING AFFLICTIONS INTO WISDOM

"Practitioners of the highest capacity use their afflictive emotions as part of the path to enhance the realization of emptiness.

Look at the actual nature of those afflictions. All thoughts and emotions are the play of the primordial nature, or the Dharmakaya. They arise within it and dissolve back into it.

When we recognize this, no matter what mental event arises, we see it as arising from the Dharmakaya and dissolving back into it. We also recognize that thoughts never have come into existence, remain or cease. They will no longer trouble us.

Whatever arises will naturally be freed because we see its primordial nature. "

Kamadhenu is the sacred cow

#stopkillingcows #artwork #art #design #symbols #dakini #mother #animalrights

Kamadhenu is the sacred cow as she relates to Hindu ritual.  Her 5 gifts are sacred offerings.  They are:  milk, curds (yoghurt,)  butter, urine (considered a pure substance that can serve as medicine,) and manure (which is used for plastering walls and floors, and which, dried, is used as fuel.)   She also gives us a further gift, her offspring -- a calf, the source of further cattle
